George E and Corp. George Edwin Curtis

I am working on a memorial for the Curtis brothers buried in Swords Cemetery, who were born in England (actually Australia as it was considered a part of England at the time) and who were American Civil War veterans, and I have some major confusion. There is George E and Corp. George Edwin Curtis. Are they the same people? If not can someone please provide me with information on how to straighten it all out. Did both serve in the war? I really need some help. Thememorial will be on the Autralian Veterans Memorial Website when done, www.acwv.info.

Does anyone know where Charles R. Curtis, his brother died and is buried?

Any help will really be appreciated. jamesmgray@bigpond.com
