It was at Ancestry.com that I found her but I am sure that it was a clerical error as she was born exactly the same date as Clive Newland and no-one in the family who is interested in genealogy has ever heard that Simpson and Jane Newland had a daughter.

And yes, I think that he was a doctor. There are quite a lot of them in teh family.
