Hi Erin,
I don't think the Gordon Boys Brigade was actually connected to the home/school of the same name.They were both named after General Gordon, but the Brigade was originally founded in Liverpool by different people.A bit about what they did here:

Maybe send them off an email and ask if they have admission registers for the Brigade or personal info about the boys.
The Gordon Home/School was not an orphanage, the boys had to be aged between 14 and 16 to be admitted.Some info here and if you end up being directed here then you may find more information in the admission registers.
