Robert is noted as being illegitimate. Perhaps someone on the Wiltshire board will be able to advise you on whether the Bastardy Bonds for this parish have survived. This is probably the only place that you would find Robert's reputed father named.

I would speculate that Roger FISHLOCK was Robert's grandfather and that Robert's mother Mary was Roger's daughter.
