Hi Aileen Had some trouble finding Henry John MARLER and his family on the 1861 Census but it appears their surname has been transcribed as MARLOWE. Note also that this family keeps changing on census their place of birth. 1861 Census Stoke Damerel, Devon George MARLOWE - head b: abt 1811 Taunton Somerset Mary A MARLOWE - wife b: abt: 1813 Taunton Somerset Harriet MARLOWE - daug b: abt; 1843 Devonport, Devon Caroline MARLOWE - dage: b abt: 1845 Devonport, Devon George MARLOWE - son b: abt: 1849 Devonport, Devon Henry MARLOWE - son b: abt; 1851 Devonport, Devon Thomas MARLOWE - son b: abt: 1853 DEvonport, Devon Hannah MARLOWE - daug b: abt; 1855 Devonport, Devon Elizabeth MARLOWE - daug b: abt: 1858 Devonport, Devon The 1871 Census is more accurate about birth places. On the 1871 Census Stoke Damerel, Devon George MARLE - head b: abt: 1811 Taimton, Somerset (believe Taimton should be Taunton) Mary A MARLE - wife b: abt: 1813 Exeter, Devon Henry MARLE - son b: abt: 1851 Torpoint, Cornwall Thomas MARLE - son b: abt: 1853 Torpoint, Cornwall Hannah MARLE - daug b: abt: 1855 Devonport, Devon Cheers Tania Notify Administrator about this message?
