He received his free certificate in 1836, and his native place was Macclesfield in Cheshire. There are quite a few baptisms there to choose from https://www.familysearch.org/#form=advanced-records
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a surviving indent for him which is where you would normally find the names of his parents and siblings.
