I am descended from Henry Gear who arrived Bundaberg 13 July 1887 on "Earl Granville". He was accompanied by his wife Jane Betteridge, and following children:
Francis aged 6, Edward aged 8, (my Grandfather) Maude aged 5, and George Granville, infant, who was born on board during the voyage.
I have extensive information about Edward and his descendants and have a little only on Aust. Gear Families, still working on that.
Is this any use to you? In time, I hope to have more on the Aust. Gear and Betteridge connections.
Are you intending to make your Book available to descendants- would be very interested in a copy. Would also be interested in any information about "my" specific George Granville voyage.

Good luck in your enterprise!

Walter Pearce.
