I am a Scholes descendant and have a connection with this family (William George Hogg was a grandson of James Ballantine Hogg and his wife Martha Battersby Scholes who was born in Armidale NSW).

William Hogg's uncle James Scholes Hogg died in World War I and is buried at Trois Arbres Cemetery Steenwerck Belgium.

From a Roll of Honour published in 1917: Lieut. James Scholes Hogg, eldest son of the late Dr. J. B. Hogg, Goodna, and Mrs Hogg "Geraldine," Greenmount.

Contact with anyone linked with the family would be welcome.

Glennys
