Thanks for all the great possiblities. Those dates are fairly close to gordaon and Oliver's boths.. both were Frank and Ellen's sons. They were both WW! soldoers. The info on Gordon'e death cert was supplied by my father so itwas only what he was told. The family story was that Ellen broke her leg ( in Rockhampton) and was brought down to Brisbane to recouperate.. and subsequently died Iwas lead to believe but she may well have remarried and abandonned the boys?? the last thing I have seen from hewr was dated 1908.. an inscription in the fly of a Bible.. from your loveing mother. I believe that Gordon was
sent to workas a youth to iron creek near Kingaroy. I believe he worked on a property there. I am wondering why Ellen would choose Scott as a name.. or why they would change their name to Scott... I am thinking the Cardoza name is a real possiblity.
I had Gordon's DOB as 7 July 1894 in Rockhampton!.. but that is only what he told the family! Oliver I am not sure of his DOB but i believe around 1897 and he died in 1973
