Hi Melinda,
Margaret May was still living with her parents at Bellarine Street in 1919, so it is likely that she was also at Elizabeth Street in 1912.I was just thinking that she was a bit young, but as you say, I wonder if she was involved with the work of the local Catholic Church. I am also having trouble finding a marriage or death for her - perhaps she became a nun? I really think it would be worth contacting the local Geelong church to get an idea of what was going on around that time with regard to orphaned children, and whether they hold any records.
In 1936, Harold (labourer) and Doris were at 32 Collett Street, and they were still there in 1954 which is the limit of my indexes.
I also cannot find a suitable birth reg. for Harold, or a likely marriage for William and Louisa. There is a Louisa CLARK living on her own at 152 Malop Street, Geelong, in 1903, but not in later years.
The William CLARKEs buried at Geelong and Barrabool in 1912 and 1911 were aged in their 80's.
CLARK/E is such a hard name to follow, just so many of them!!!
Debra
