If any of your predecessors lived in N.S.W., there are a few entries in the Index for the name Lacey:
(1) Deaths.
James, 1907, son of Michael and Mary : James, 1904, son of William and Jane :
James R., 1933, son of James and Clara :
James, 1918, aged 20, died at Manly, near Sydney, no names of parents listed.
(2) Marriages.
James R.J. Lacey to Mary S. Folpp, 1926.
Dora C. Lacey to Garnet E.I. Black, 1916.
I wonder if the James R. Lacey who died in 1933 is the same James R.J. Lacey who was married in 1926. It is unlikely that the James Lacey who died at the age of 20 in 1918 is connected with your background.
There are no records that I can find dealing with the death of Clara Lacey.
Good luck in your search.Will. Smith, Canada
