I have a copy of a victorian birth certificate for a Eugene Owen O'Connor born to Owen O'Connor and Catherine O'Byrne at Ballarat VIC in 1870. Owen and Catherine were from County Roscommon so I guess we are all talking about the same person. Anne O'Connor, Eugene Owen O'Connor's daughter was my grandmother. Yes, it was news to many members of our branch that Owen was in fact Eugene.
