Thanks everyone for the help.

We do know that Edna Merle Shingles married Reginald Anderson. We believe it was in the 1930's as their first child was born 1939.

I'll follow up with the war record's, hadn't thought of that yet. Have checked the BDM but the only Reginald Anderson and Edna Shingles I can find is a listing for 1939 and it was a Reginald George but we thought his middle name was Walsh. However that listing in 1939 does match the timeline.

Edna Merle Anderson nee Shingles died 9 June 1999 in Woy Woy and is buried at the Point Clare Cemetary. Reginald Anderson died in the 70's but it was after 1972.
