YES!YES!YES! Please do, I am most interested in getting all the information I can.
Losing Mum meant a lot of oral history is gone and I want to get it all down in writing for future generations.
Did not have access to computors or internet before.
Hope to get enough to present it to Dad for his 90th next year.
Really am grateful for all the people assisting me so kindly with info and websites.
Thank you Michele
We even have Michelle as a family ancestor name, originating in France/German border area have not tracked that one yet but Mum said one of them sold pastells to Vincent Van Gogh as a child working in her fathers shop in France.
Was the oldest lady in France, over 100yrs old, in the news some years ago.
Apparently some of them came to Australia and if I remember rightly one of family reverted to his mother's name of Moses.
I know my Grandmother Catherine Moses father used to eat chillies for breakfast and was born in Germany of French parents so it could have been him.?
Family always had the tradition of painting Christmas scenes on the windows at Christmas and I found out that is a German tradition.
Dont know why.
