Hi Michele,
I don't think so.Edward was born c1829/30 in Kent. I'm working through immigration records at the moment. The most likely is 1848 on the Lady Mary Pelham. Although a lot of Austin/Austens arrived from Kent in 1838. Hopefully the partial death certificates will solve the puzzle!
Many, many thanks for the link to the cemetery inscriptions. I've found inscriptions for two infant sons born to Edward and Mary of Nuria in the Pioneer Cemetry in Wellington. These are definitely sons of my Edward and Mary, although their births don't seem to have been recorded.
Sadly there's no inscription listed for Edward W, died 1911, in any Wellington cemeteries. If that was there it would help a great deal!!!!
cheers
Chris
