Seeking info re Australin Volunteer Force pre-1936
I hope someone can help me.
One of my ancestors was awarded a medal for Long Service in an Australian Volunteer Force in about 1936.
It is inscribed with his name and:
S.V. Light Horse A. P. I. For Long Service in the Volunteer Force.
It has George V on the reverse.
Can anyone tell me what S.V. and A.P.I. mean ? And where was this Volunteer Force located ?
