MOORE FAMILY - County Wexford, Loch Garman, WEX, (Province of Leinster, Laighin)
I have come to that famous Brick Wall and my hopes are fading in finding out anything on the Moore's of Ireland. My g/g/g/grandfather was George Ogle Moore. He was MP for Dublin city from 1826-1832. He was born in Wexford Ireland in 1770 and died in Bath Sommerset in 1847. He married Elizabeth Armstrong in Amargh in 1800 and they had several children. Their eldest son John, came to Australia in 1852 with his family and servants, which leads me to believe the family must have been rather wealthy. Also with them was Mrs Moore's sister ( Miss Jones). Also looking for information on George's parents- John and Maryann Moore.(they were cousins) Maryann was the daughter of William and Frances (nee HODSON) Moore of Wexford. I have no information on John or how he fits into the family of Moore's, but would love to find out. Hoping someone can be of assistance to me.
