William Leeming - convict

Looking for information on William Leeming born 1826.

William was convicted of theft and trialed in Lancaster in 1836. He was later transported to Tasmania, Australia aboard the Frances Charlotte in 1837, which transported over 140 boys on that particular journey.

Williams convict indents report he was caught stealing money and apparel in Bridge St Preston, and Preston is listed as his native place.

William married Mary Curran in 1854, Hobart Tasmania. They later moved to Victoria.

Any info or steerage in a possible direction will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Sharyn
