I will have a look at that site and let you know if I have any luck. I don't think the word has been misspelt or mistakenly written because it has been written in twice, once under the husbands' information re: 'Usual residence' and again in a seperate block under the wife's information for 'Usual residence'. On other marriage tanscripts that I have this space usually contains the persons place of residence at the time of or prior to their marriage, eg: on one it has a house address in Sydney for the husband, and for his wife it says:'Bank Chambers' Broadway, Sydney. This is why I think it may be a hostel or boarding house or some such place. 1861 Country NSW,Did they live in sin in those days?? (LOL)
