From several documents I have picked up about the Cookson family. Below is a newspaper clipping a relative sent me. she found this amongst her mother’s papers I have also found a cutting of a couple on their wedding day -
Hilary Juliet Sarah Cookson and the Hon. Richard Gerald Lyon-Dalberg-Acton. The bride was given away by her uncle Lt.Col. A.J Addy, is the second daughter of Dr. L.O.C. Cookson of Perth, Western Australia and Mrs. C.M. Cookson of Wimbledon Park. The bridegroom being the son of Lord Acton a well-known Salisbury Business man, farmer and chairman of the Salisbury Division of the Souther Rhodesia Red Cross.
