Hi B,
I think Richard you are seeking died in Melbourne in 1863,there isan inquest listed for him.In the column on the Victorian Pioneers Indexes it lists his birthplace as MIDD(which I am almost certain indicates Middlesex) and his age is given as 28.
There is a James WELLER with parents listed as Richard and Elizabeth CHAMBERS born 1863 and died 1864 aged 2 months.
It is also significant in 1867 there was an Elizabeth WELLER marrying a Charles WEHLAN,her birthplace is listed as Fulham(maybe England).Charles WEHLEN and Elizabeth then had a daughter Charlotte Ann WEHLEN in Melbourne in 1867,the mothers name is recorded as Elizabeth CHAMBERS,then there is a death recorded in Melbourne in 1868 for a Charlotte Ann WHEELER aged 10 months with parents listed as Charles and Elizabeth CHAMBERS.
It is also of significance there is a George WELLER marrying a Mary Jane SALTMARSH in 1874,his birthplace is listed as Fulham also(perhaps Richard and Elizabeth's son?).
Richard WELLER and Elizabeth CHAMBERS married at Kensington in the December quarter of 1851(Volume 3/Page 329).
A death is registered in Victoria for an Eliz WATSON aged 90 at DDNE(not sure where this location is),her parents are listed as Richard WELLER and Eliz CHAMBERS(Reg.No.1952/14131,1952 being the year).
A death is registered at PRAN (Prahran)for a Mary Ann SHERBON aged 85 in 1943,with parents listed as Richard WILLEM and Elizth CHAMBERS.
There is a Mary ann WELLER who married an Edwin SHERBON in Victoria in 1876.On her marriage registration it lists her birth place "AT SEA".
The vessel Richard,Elizabeth and George WELLER arived on appears to be the "GYPSY BRIDE" in December of 1855 under the spelling of WILLER.It lists Richard (30),Mrs(25)and Infant (1).
There is a George WELLER born at Kensington in the June quarter of 1854.
Hope this is of assistance,
Liz.
