I am not a descendent but as a child I lived near Steven & Gary Bates and attended the same school. They would have been born about 1950 & 1952.
Their mother was Billy Bates, nee Brown. They lived with Mr Brown at Huonbrook near Mullumbimby NSW 2482.Billy was the telephone operator for the area and the switchboard was at their home.
