Thank You so Very Much!
We do Not have her (Esther Clark) Exact Date of Birth or even where she was Born~ Story Passed down thur Family was she was Born in England.
What I do Know is this : She was Born Esther Beatrice Thompson, She married a Edward John Manning they had a son Edward Montague Manning July 12,1901 in San Francisco. We found her and her son "Master Monte Manning on the SS Sierra departed from San Francisco in November 1905 it also says she is widow at that time. she was headed for Australia.
We have several Family story's~ letters~ and yet we don't really have any FACTS or documents to Prove the Story's.
Some How My grandfather Edward Montague Manning aka~ "Monte", was able to make his way back to the USA (Exactly when we dont know either) , We do know he was in the Military and worked on submarines, I do have a Pict of him in his uniform, But was it in australia or the USA we dont know either.( he looks to be about 16-20 yrs old)
He told Our Family he was raised By Two old Maids in San Francisco, Calif. and YET he was Once taken to Australia as a Young Boy, But he said he Ran away and Hid on ship and Came back to San Francisco.(( When ~ is good Question))
I do Know he Married My Grandmother in 1926 in California, My Mother was Born in 1929 , they divorced in 1933.
I believe the ones you have indicated are also the same Esther and Roger....Both died in 1942, Her being Buriedand his ashes Scattered in Same Cemetery, Must be some Kind of Connection, I was going to Try to Find out either thru the marriage application~Permit or thru the Burial records if she ever listed her MAIDEN Name "Thompson", Also was wondering if this Roger and Esther ever had other children and when if they did and who they are.
This is why I was requesting a "Buddy~Pal" in Australia, that might have Access to more records, I dont Mind Paying to get records( If they are the RIGHT Ones) But I want to make sure they are the Ones we need...You can spend Fortune on Legal documents to find outits NOT the right Person after all and I dont have that Kind of Money to spend on Documents that are No use to me. So we are Just trying to MAKE SURE, before we order Documents and such. Now something that would help alot is, Usually Mortguarys and Funeral Homes Keep records also when they help with Burials, they also List NEXT of KIN's, so If we Can find Out which Funeral Home or Mortguary did this Burial then Maybe they will help us also. We have been Looking on Line for Newspapers that may have Listed a Funeral Notice , But thus Far are NOT sure which one may have Listed that, so have been HUNTING and Hunting...Is a BIG Puzzle to Put back together and so Many Maybe's BUT we want to Prove the Facts.
Part of OUR delima here is Earth Quake if 1906 in San Francisco Many Records were destroyed and Burned, so Can't prove Marriages or Births, Deaths...as the Hall of Recoerd Burned to the Ground.
I want to Thank you so Much for Helping!
