Hi Tony
District number 15 is the District of Pirie which was proclaimed in May 1935.The Vol, page numbers are probably the official Registry book and page numbers you would use to order the certificates from the Adeliade Registry Office the District Registers may have a different index number as usually volunteers did this.
You can view a copy of the original certificates 1935 to 1969 at the Port Pirie Public Library, Ellen St Pt Pirie but I assume you are not in SA.I do not know if there is someone there at the library or near Pt Pirie that will transcribe it for you (they are not allowed to photocopy it).Sometimes the library staff will do this for interstate people but not sure if they will. You could contact them on (08) 8632 1649 to enquire or they probably have an email address on the net somewhere.
From 1907 the number of issue both living and dead male and female should be on the death certificate.
Good Luck
Debbie
