dear margaret
my hamiltons are elusive but i know that in 1914 archibald orr hamilton the son of archi and christina was a soldier in the second ww. and his address was given as crosshill , glasgow.
an aunt given as next of kin to his brother (George patterson hamilton ) 's name was a Mrs christina smith and she lived in 1914 in dundee.
it is not much to go on and i guess both archibald and george could have gone to canada as teenagers with their parents and come back periodically to fight for their country. george was also in the boer war.
i will see what other information i can find to pinpoint them to scotland.
thanks
