I'm trying to find more about James John Courtney who married Mary Blanche Rosalie Baxter in 1869 in Vic.
I believe that James John Courtney was born in Cavan, Ireland in 1844. He emigrated to Melbourne with his sister Alicia and their mother Isabella in 1859 on board GREYHOUND.
It would seem that the Baxter family that he married into was that of Benjamin Baxter, who was the first white settler in the town area now called Baxter on the Mornington Peninsula. This family would also appear to have links to Robert Hoddle and John Sage.
James John sister, Alicia married Henry Beilby.
