Hello Sandra, I have just arrived home and have been looking at my paperwork re Askew Family
I have John Askew married to Eliza Rodgers
they came to Australia 1840
there children were as follows
Eliaz( B )approx 1841(M) James Haynes 1861
John (B) approx 1843 (D)1854 age 11
Anne (B) approx 1846 (CAPE OF GOOD HOPE)(M) George Edward Hall 1866)my G.G. Grandparents
Charles David (B) approx 1848
Mary Elizabeth (B) approx 1849 (M)Henry Hansier Townes 1869
Isabelle (B) approx 1855
Caroline (B )1858
for some reason some of the children were brought to Australia in 1853 by Isaiah Askew and his wife Louisa Askew,i think Isaiah may have been the brother of John Askew senior,
I have found a death of John Askew 1865 born 1819 London parents Charles no Mothers name,
do you have any of these names in your family tree, I am still trying to research this family but have a long way to go to fill in all the gaps, John and Eliza Askew were my G>G>G>Grandparents
any help would be really appreciated
