Hi Florence,

Not sure if the following will be of any help or whether I am going to confuse you....but read on.

I found the ship the McGlynns' returned on from UK in 1920, but as far as the original arrival goes no such luck in Victoria. They could have come over as assisted immigrants after 1871, which is as far as the PROV indexing for assisted immigrants goes at the moment. BUT what I did find in the Queensland shipping arrivals was an entry for-

JAMES MCGLYNN aged 16
PATRICK MCGLYNN aged 17
Both arrived in Queensland on 24th January 1869 on "Ramsey" ref numbers - IMM/113 27 M1696.

This however gives the above James an approximate birthdate of 1853.

I noticed in your other queries that you thought James McGlynn was born c 1860. However if the Dr. J. McGlynn who arrived on the "Ormonde" with his wife and daughter in 1920 is the one you are researching, his age was given as 48 which makes his year of birth approximately 1872. So definately not the Queensland James.

Sorry I haven't been able to be of more help - regards Trish
