Hi Florence,

"Fitz South" sounds as if your people may have died in the Melbourne (Victoria)suburb of Fitzroy. If so, they were probably buried in the Melbourne General Cemetery. I don't know of any on line indexes to this cemetery but you could write to them at:

Another alternative is to contact The Genealogical Society of Victoria which I believe may have transcripts of the headstones. However they will charge a fee for this research. Their address is:
