William Lockhart/Scotland to Aus 1923/24?

Any information of William Lockhart or any relatives, he left Scotland Dumbartonshire with his friend in late 1923 early 1924,I understand he went to Melbourne and may have worked on the railways, I believe may be part of my family tree, where did he go? what did he do? any relatives would love to complete my history, he had a brother John who I believe was in America and another brother Peter who stayed in Scotland....please help any little piece of info. would be great.
