He was born in GA & enlisted in the Army in GA, he is buried at Mt. Nebo Methodist Church, when he enlisted his county of residence was Paulding County, GA he is listed as single, born in 1924 with 2 years of high school & enlisted at Ft. McPherson Atlanta on March 17, 1944 & he died in Prussia in in 1945. I have never found a marriage certificate for him & Sara June Austin. Nor have I ever found a birth certificate for James Lawson Palmer born June 7, 1945 in Austell, GA & died March 13, 2008 he lived in Powder Springs, GA & is buried at Mt. Nebo Methodist Church, I think it is Hiram, GA. I found the church website & there are a lot Austins & Palmers buried there, but I have not links. I do know that Marvin Bone buried there is James half brother.
