I wonder if that Bible belonged to Ebenezer Austin b. 1811, son of Moses Austin and Elsie Estes. His wife's name was Esther, b. 1815, and her name may have been Varney. I show them in Westbrook, Cumberland Co., ME, in 1850, and by 1856 they were living in Linn Co., IA, where Ebenezer died in 1864. I have children for them: Elizabeth b. 1844, Rebecca 1846, Joseph 1848, Mary 1849, Samuel 1852, James 1854, and Amos 1856. The family were Quakers, though, not Catholic. I am not in touch with any descendants of this line, but would be interested in holding onto the Bible in case any appear later on. I am compiling that line (Jonah Austin of Taunton, MA) for the Austin Families Association of America, although it isn't my line. Please let me know if the information in the Bible appears to tie into the information I have.
