Does anyone have any information on Margaret Austin, (born 1829) married to James Doan,(born 1822) on Sept 21, 1855. The 1861 census for Yarmouth Twp. has them with the following children:
William Doan b. 1849
Helen Doan b. 1851
Sarah Doan b.1856
John D. Doan b. 1858
Joseph Doan b.1859
In 1864/65 James and Margaret were listed as the proprietors of the Farmers Hotel in Ailsa Craig Ontario.
James had been married before to Eliza Catherine Couse who died early in 1855, she was William and Helen's mother.
