I cannot find any reference to the people you mentioned and Pearce was spelled differently so I don't think there is a connection. The Austens came out of England abt. 1812. The Pearce marriage was later, when Susan Austen m. Richard Pearce in 1822. I believe that Susan was in Pa. prior to the rest of her family coming to Ohio. Sorry.
