I've run across some clues that suggest this line continues.
If so, I'd sort of expect yet another Charles John.

Alfred (b1888) had a brother Charles John, and the two of them are about the right time and place. Don't yet know the name of their father or mother, unfortunately. But I'm waiting for a copy of a relative's will which might answer some questions.
