Hi Brian, Sorry, don't have much info about Ann or siblings. Parish Register (Benenden, Kent 1818 page 20) records William Bryant, Bachelor and Ann Austen, Spinster (both of Benenden Parish) married with consent of parents (names not recorded) on 5 December 1818 by Vicar Daniel Boys. Witnesses were William Piper and William Farley. I assume that Farley was a church official as he has witnessed the other marriages on page 20. Possible that William Piper is a relative of either Ann or William? Ann's death certificate shows her as Anne Bryant died 13 May 1882 age 83 years, parents unknown, born Kent England, married Kent England at age 19 years to William Bryant. Have found an Anne Austin in the IGI, christening 27 July 1799 Cranbrook Kent, father John Austin, mother Harriet, but this is only one possibility of many. I am inclined more towards this entry as William & Ann had children named Harriet and John (possibly named after their mother's parents). Just speculation, no proof, and I seem to have depleted all resources available to me at this time. My only hope is that something will turn up in a UK census somewhere. Sorry, not much to go on, but, as they say, "hope springs eternal". Thanks for your interest Brian. If you can point me in other directions I would be most grateful.
