What else does the memorial to Sarah say on it? Any other clues?
Elizabeth Banks was either Sarah's mother or her sister.
The 1841 census now shows that Sarah and Benjamin definitely had another boy - Benjamin - born circa 1834 (we had thought 1837 - Joseph)
That and the fact that a later daughter was named Sarah supports to some extent that if the first born had been a girl and survived she would have been named Sarah.
Take care - we are looking at burial records
