Susan,
It was of great interest to read your message about George Butler Aust and
his wife Sarah Ann Maccaw on Genforum tonight.
For almost twenty years I have made a study of the name Aust, starting with
the English Aust's and following their tracks abroad.
The tale of the Aust/Dubignon was made known to me early in 2004.
However the mention of Paul Aust was new to me, as was the contesting of the
will.
As to the origins of George Butler Aust, there are deeper mysteries.
My Aust connections are traceable back to a Richard Aust of Colerne,
Wiltshire, England born about 1630.

Please contact direct,

Regards Peter J. Smith , in Kent, England
