My grandfather was Hermann Aust. He came to the U.S. from Bremerhaven, Germany in 1907 and settled in the Chicago area. He married Mathilda Hoffman and they had 3 children, Helen, Louise, and Ruth. I am trying to find the families of his two brothers, Richard and Gustav who came to the U.S. from Antwerp in 1908 to join Hermann and later settled somewhere in Illinois. Richard was 25 and Gustav 20 in 1908. Richard also brought his wife, Theodra, 19, and children Theodra, age 2 and Hermann, age 6 months with him. We know that my grandfather was born in Oppau, Germany and was in Essen during his school years.
