Lynn: What a pleasant surprise! The little information I have on Sarah & Fredonia comes from some papers of a great aunt & 2nd cousin. Sarah Aust was Sarah Ann McGraw; she and George apparently immigrated from Plymouth, England and settled in Brunswick, GA. From an 1850 census in Glynn (it appears Sarah was recently widowed at this point) the following are listed: Sarah A. 38 Mary D 20 Fredonia 16 Leonidas 9 William 7 Rosilia 1 From "Glyn county Oldest Marriage Records" The Reprint Company, Spartanburg,SC 29301: Mary Aust Col Henry DuBignon Married Nov 3, 1852 by Edward Barron Bp. of Eucarpia. Sarah A. Aust Willis Reddick Married April 19, 1857 by John Blackstone, M.G. George B. Aust, J.P. married in 1836 a John Donnaly and Catherine Summerlin. Fredonia and William Harris had the following children: Francis M., b.2/6/1854 d. 1929, age 75 Thomas W., b. 8/28/1856 George Ewen, b. 1/6/1859 d. 8/9/1923 Fredonia Louisa, b. 2/2/1861 d. 10/26/1894 Wilhemina M, b. 11/17/1864 William Harris died 8/27/1864, apprarenty from wounds suffered in Battle of Atlanta. I haven't done a great deal of research in GA yet as we have been focused on my Yarrington side in Alabama. I would love to know about what happened to Sarah and family. I look forward to hearing from you. Margaret Y.
