Thanks for the info on your branch.I found your data on your website and didn't have that branch at all.And since your roots grew into the West, you can't be related on the Pierce side either.
It looks like the Ausmuses have a colorful past. ;-)In MY line, a Paris Ausmus (my grandmother's brother) "Killed his brother Luther with a shotgun because he thought that Luther was fooling around with his wife."That caused a rift in the family.
Turns out that one of Luther's descendents lived not far from my parents and we didn't know it until a family reunion.
Thanks again for the info.Perhaps we can fill the missing pieces of the Ausmus history.
