I have been researching the family history for some time now. Mainly on the Osenbaugh side, however, some time this winter I plan on starting to put together the Ausenbaughs side into the tree. What I do have may help a little for now.
Johann Jacob Osenbach, born January 1776 in Sciota, Monroe County, Pennslyvania, and died June 02, 1853 in Dawson Springs, Caldwell County, Kentucky. He moved to Caldwell County abt. 1820 from Evansville, IN. He was married to Polly Unknown June 18, 1817, his second wife. They were married in Wayne County, Ohio. Their Children:
Mary Ann, born abt 1817, Ohio.
Catherine, born abt 1822, Caldwell County, KY
Jeremiah, born abt 1825, Caldwell County, KY
John Baily, born abt 1827, Caldwell County, KY
Nancy J. born abt 1832, Caldwell County, KY
Elenisa Elmira, born abt 1836, Caldwell County, KY
The Census show Jacob Osenbach in Caldwell County in 1820 and again in 1840. Sometime between 1840 and 1850 Jacob change the spelling to Ausenbaugh and so did most of the children. The following is some infomation I have have on the Children of Jacob in Caldwell County:
Mary Ann married Alexander Eison, Dec 28, 1838.
Catherine married Charles Lewis Sep. 29, 1843.
Jeremiah married Nancy Dawson Sep. 23, 1856.
and Lucy Brown Oct 14, 1869.
John Baily married Elizabeth Boyd Dec. 13, 1850 and Sarah French Dec 02, 1858.
All marriages took place in Caldwell County, KY.
John Ausenbaugh, the youngest son of Jacob's first wife, Magdalena Struck, also moved to Caldwell County, KY, with his father Jacob.
Half brother to the children listed above.
He married Aurora Eison Sep 24, 1833, Caldwell Couty, KY. Thier Children were:
Mary Jane b. abt 1835.
James W. b. abt 1838.
Thomas Henry b. Mar 07, 1840
Charles b. abt 1844
Pernecy b. abt 1847

All births were in Caldwell County, Ky.
As I continue researching the family history I will be glad to help anyone I can. In the mean time I also need any and all info that may help in putting together this part of the tree. Please send to JMOSENBAUGH@msn.com.
