Looking for information conderning the subject trooper who enlisted 11 August 1862 at Paris, Bourbon Co., Kentucky. he deserted 18August 1862 at Louisville, Jefferson Co., Kentucky. A lot of times these men listed as deserted during the early stages of the war did so because they wanted to get out of the cavalry and into an infantry unit. Would like to know his resident county before he enlisted, etc. Any little tidbit of information is valuable in my search.
