Long time since last message but I just came upon something of interest about James Osborn and Elizabth Arms.
While researching Sarah Ann Armes I came across her marriage records in Tazwell Co WV. Her parents are listed as James Osborn and Elizabeth Arms- Sarah is listed as Sarah Arms (not Osborn) born around 1840 Wilkes NC. Elizabeth Arms is also listed on the Tazwell 1860 census as a 40 year old spinster. She married shortly after to Jefferson Long. I am researching Martha Arms Osborn who I think might be Elizabeth's sister. Any news on her let me know. Melinda
