Mrs. Thompson, You may want to look for Altmans as well as Aultmans. I am descended from Altmans from Dooley and Houston Co, GA.of the same time periods. The counties are side by side. My line has Littleton Mitchell Altman born 1816, lived and died in Dooley Co. Of particular interest to you is Jordan Aultman married to Sarah Ann Thompson November 8, 1836 in Houston Co. They have got to be kin to your's of the same last names. If you want more information on Altmans of that area, please contact me.
