Hi Marie my family are from Glasgow.I have been trying recently to establish some family connections and have made a little progress but sadly my grandmother who would have been the best source of information died about 7 or 8 years ago at the age of 94.Her parents were from County Fermannagh Northern Ireland. They moved to Scotland sometime after they were wed in 1883 and my grandmother was born in 1898 so I imagine they were quite young when they married. My grandmother's maiden name was Woods, she married my grandfather Peter Andrew Auld who sadly died a young man not yet 40 in 1940.Their oldest child my aunt Cathy who is about 74 and the picture of health! is my best source of info and I am still gleaning info from her but as I live in England now I don't get the chance so often as I would like to pick her brains! She is very willing and able however and I will be trying some more next time I get back to Glasgow.I have some photos of the family including Grandad Auld and would like to share photos with other Aulds on the net to see if we can see a close family likeness.Funnily enough my young brother Gordon who was least like the rest of our family when young and we called the orphan is most like our grandfather Auld!Do you have any family photos of your Glasgow connections?Would be very interesting to see if we can see any similarities.Hope you get in touch. Regards Billy Auld
