Further to my post last night, I have been in touch with a Grandson of William Gladstone Craigen, and between us, we have concluded that Ewart Byron Craigen did not exist - that this name is a genuine mistake. What is irrefutable is that Ewart Gladstone Craigen married Helen Marguerita Kilburn.
It does appear, however, that her death certificate incorrectly states her Father's name to be George Byron instead of George Byron Kilburn.
My apologies for misleading you.
