I am not certain....but I believe the Augenstein/Eyestone family names are a result of a family squabble that took place in Ohio.

My family,at one time, had a book of genealogy dating to Hieryonimous Augenstein of Germany. I am going to try and locate the whereabouts of this book and post what information I have.
