I make genealogical about AUER from Alsace. There are two lines.
The first came from Oberhoffen or Obenhoffen near Insbruck (Austria)in 1700.
Joseph AUER (son of Michaelis) settled at Lautenbach (Haut-Rhin)in 1701 then at Wildenstein (Haut-Rhin), his son Joseph was wood-cutter in Mittlach (Haut-Rhin), he was the ancestry of AUER families from Mittlach.
The second line is the line of glassworkers, the first Joannes AUER or HAUER, married with Dorothea ROBISCHON, settled in the glasswork of Wildenstein near 1710, he dead in 1732 at 80 years old, they are somes descendants in XVIII and XIXth centuries in Wildenstein and in departement of Haute-Saône.
I find the birth place or the original aera of Joannes AUER / HAUER and Dorothea ROBISCHON.

Sincerely your.

Hervé Dierstein
