The Alice Auer I am looking for was definitly in Brooklyn I found her in the census records. Her husband was Augustine McGaughran, they had ten children all born after 1920, from what I have just recently learned they later relocated to the Central Islip area. Alice's Pareents were John Auer born in Germany and mother Hedwig is listed as being born in Ireland ( I always thought the name Hedwig was German?) any way I was hoping to connect with an Auer researcher who might have info on Alice's children. I will jot down your address and the details of your Auer family and if I come across anything I will let you know.
